If your vehicle fails to start due to a depleted battery, you may need to perform a jump-start to get your Kia Carnival back on the road.

Push-starting

Because the Kia Carnival is equipped with an automatic transmission, it cannot be started by pushing or towing. Only the jump-starting method described in this section should be used to restore power if your battery is depleted.

Two-vehicle towing hazards:

Never attempt to tow your Kia Carnival to start the engine. When the engine fires, the vehicle can surge forward unexpectedly, creating a significant risk of a rear-end collision between the two vehicles, which could result in severe vehicle damage or personal injury.
