The Kia Carnival air cleaner filter is a critical component for engine health; it must be replaced according to the
maintenance schedule and should never be washed.

While you may lightly clean the filter housing during inspection, do not attempt to wash the element itself. If
necessary, you may gently remove loose debris from the filter using low-pressure compressed air.
-
Pull up the lever (1) on the Kia Carnival air cleaner cover to release the locking mechanism.

-
Gently pull up the air cleaner cover (2) to open the housing.

-
Rotate the fixed lever (3) located on the filter to loosen the secondary lock.

-
Carefully remove and replace the Kia Carnival air cleaner filter with a genuine factory part.

-
Reassemble the housing components in the reverse order of disassembly, ensuring all seals are properly seated.
Always replace the filter as dictated by the official Kia Carnival Maintenance Schedule. If you frequently drive in
extremely dusty, sandy, or off-road conditions, inspect and replace the element more often than the standard
recommended intervals to ensure peak engine performance.
CAUTION
-
Never operate the Kia Carnival with the air cleaner removed; doing so will allow unfiltered air to enter the
engine, resulting in excessive wear and potential internal damage.
-
When removing the air cleaner filter, take care that no dirt or debris falls into the air intake path, as this
could cause immediate engine damage.
-
Always use genuine Kia parts sourced from an authorized Kia dealer to guarantee proper fitment and filtration
efficiency.
