To avoid draining the vehicle battery, avoid using interior lights for extended periods when the engine is not running.

Safety warning for using interior lights in the Kia Carnival while driving WARNING

Do not use interior lights while driving in dark conditions. Excessive illumination inside the cabin can create reflections on the windshield, obscuring your view and increasing the risk of accidents while operating your Kia Carnival.

Automatic turn off function

To prevent battery discharge, interior lights will automatically turn off approximately 20 minutes after the ENGINE START/STOP button is turned to the OFF position, provided they were left in the ON state. Additionally, if your Kia Carnival is equipped with a factory theft alarm system, the interior lights will automatically extinguish 5 seconds after the system is armed.

    • Interior lamps will activate for 30 seconds upon unlocking the Kia Carnival with the smart key, even if no doors are opened immediately.
    • If a door remains open while the ignition is in ACC or OFF, the lights will stay on for 10 minutes to prevent battery drain.
    • When the ENGINE START/STOP button is in the ON position, the lights will stay on continuously while a door is open.
    • To deactivate DOOR mode, press the DOOR button again.
