If your Kia Carnival Rear View Monitor (RVM) system encounters a technical malfunction, the visual feed on your
infotainment screen may display an abnormal color tint, such as green, blue, or black. Should you notice screen
flickering, distorted imagery, or a complete loss of the camera feed, please have the RVM system inspected by an
authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible to maintain your vehicle's safety standards.
Environmental factors can temporarily impact system clarity. For instance, if the Kia Carnival is left idling for an
extended period or is parked in an indoor garage, exhaust fumes or condensation may temporarily blur the camera lens,
affecting visibility.
WARNING
-
The wide-angle rear camera does not provide a complete 360-degree view of the area behind your Kia Carnival.
You must always supplement your use of the monitor by physically checking the rear area and verifying
surroundings using your inside and outside rearview mirrors before reversing.
-
Because the system calibrates images from a wide-angle lens, the objects shown on the screen may appear at a
different distance than they actually are. Additionally, the Parking Guidance lines may become inaccurate if
the Kia Carnival is tilted due to heavy cargo loading. Always prioritize visual confirmation of your
surroundings.
-
Maintain the cleanliness of the wide-angle rear camera lens at all times. Foreign material, mud, or frost on
the lens can severely degrade performance. When cleaning, avoid chemical solvents, strong alkaline detergents,
or volatile organic compounds (such as petrol or acetone), as these can permanently damage the camera lens
coating.
-
Driving the Kia Carnival with the tailgate open is considered an abnormal operating condition. For your safety
and the safety of others, please ensure all doors and panels are properly secured before driving.
