The lighting control system in your Kia Carnival is operated via the rotating knob located on the
end of the steering column lever.

Turn the knob to select the following modes:
- OFF: All exterior lighting is deactivated.
- Auto light: Sensors automatically adjust lighting based on ambient conditions.
- Position & Taillamp: Activates parking, instrument panel, and taillights.
- Headlamp: Activates the main headlamps for night-time driving.
Position & Taillight

When the light switch is set to the position lamp mode, the front position lamps, rear taillights, and the license
plate lamp will turn ON to improve vehicle visibility to other drivers.
Headlight (Low Beam)

In this position, the low beam headlights, taillights, and license plate illumination are activated. Ensure your
Kia Carnival headlight switch is set correctly for night-time driving.
NOTICE
For your safety, the ENGINE START/STOP button must be in the ON position to activate the main headlights.
Auto light

When the light switch is set to AUTO, the Kia Carnival lighting system automatically activates or
deactivates the headlights and taillights based on real-time ambient light intensity.
CAUTION
- Do not cover the sensor located on the instrument panel, as this will cause the auto-light system to malfunction.
- Avoid applying window cleaners directly to the sensor; residues can create a film that interferes with light
detection.
- Heavy window tinting or metallic coatings on the windshield may disrupt the auto-light sensor's ability to gauge
light accurately.
