When a registered smartphone is linked to a user profile in your Kia Carnival, the vehicle will automatically apply
personalized settings (such as seat position, mirror angles, and climate control) the moment you unlock the door
using your digital key. This convenient feature allows for a total of two unique driver profiles to be linked.
Note that infotainment interface layouts may shift after system updates; always check the quick reference guide
provided with your vehicle for specific model-year instructions.
Linking/Unlinking profile
How to link user profile

Navigate to Setup → User profile → Profile setting → Link Digital Key (Smartphone) on your Kia
Carnival infotainment display.

Select "Link" to connect the digital key of the registered phone number to your current user profile. Follow
the on-screen prompts to confirm.

Once the process finishes, a 'Digital Key Link Complete.' message will appear on the screen.

If prompted, select the specific smartphone you wish to associate from the list displayed on the screen and
finalize the link following the system instructions.

Upon completion, a 'Digital Key Link Complete.' message confirms that your Kia Carnival is now synced with your
profile.
How to unlink user profile

Go to Setup → User Profile → Profile Setting → Link Digital Key (Smartphone) on the Kia Carnival
infotainment system. Select the option to unlink the smartphone within the User Profile settings. Note that
this action is only available if a profile is currently linked.

When the unlinking is successful, you will see a 'Digital key is unlinked.' message on the infotainment screen.
NOTICE

A single smartphone cannot be linked to both Driver 1 and Driver 2 simultaneously. Personalization will apply
to the most recently linked profile, and the previous link will be automatically canceled.

User profile linking requires the Digital Key to be fully registered on both the smartphone and the Kia
Carnival vehicle. A smartphone registered to a different vehicle cannot be linked to your current one.

Please note that the NFC card key cannot be linked to a personalized user profile.

If the linked Digital Key is deleted from your smartphone, the Digital Key 2 must be re-registered, and the
user profile must be re-linked to restore personalized vehicle settings.

Vehicle personalization operation
The advanced personalization function integrated with Digital Key 2 in your Kia Carnival operates efficiently under
the following specific conditions:

Lock or unlock the vehicle by touching the driver's side door handle with your profile-linked smartphone.
Please note that personalization settings do not trigger when locking or unlocking the front passenger door.

The personalization feature must be explicitly enabled by linking your specific digital key within the user
profile menu of your Kia Carnival infotainment system.

This functionality is active only when the vehicle is in the OFF state or when it has been initiated via remote
start. If the vehicle is started manually without a remote connection, the digital key personalization will not
engage.
