The Safe Exit Assist (SEA) system in your Kia Carnival is a sophisticated safety feature designed to protect
passengers when exiting the vehicle. While your Kia Carnival is stopped, if the rear corner radar detects a vehicle
approaching from behind and a passenger attempts to open a door, the system provides a warning message and an audible
chime to help avoid a collision.

Beyond providing warnings, Safe Exit Assist offers an advanced layer of protection for the Kia Carnival by keeping
the power sliding doors closed, even if the interior control button is pressed, when the system detects a vehicle
approaching from the rear area. This intervention significantly reduces the risk of side-swipe accidents during
egress.
WARNING
Please note that Safe Exit Assist is not a substitute for the Child-protector rear door lock. If you need to ensure
the safety of children in the rear seat, always engage the child locks and utilize an appropriate Child Restraint
System. For more detailed instructions, refer to the "More Details" section of your manual.
CAUTION
Warning timing in your Kia Carnival may vary depending on the speed and trajectory of the approaching vehicle; always
perform a final visual check before opening the doors.
