Kia Carnival: Interior features / Seat warmer (if equipped)

The seat warming system in your Kia Carnival provides rapid and comfortable heat for the front and rear seats, making cold-weather driving significantly more pleasant.

Front seat (Type B): Type B front seat heater control lever for Kia Carnival

With the ENGINE START/STOP button in the "ON" position, operate the corresponding levers or buttons to activate the desired seat warming level. For your safety and to prevent battery drain, the system defaults to the "OFF" position every time the vehicle is restarted. We recommend switching the seat warmer to "OFF" once the desired cabin comfort is reached or during warmer weather conditions.

Temperature control (Manual)

Each interaction with the control levers or buttons will cycle the temperature setting through different intensity levels:

  • Front seat (Type A): Type A seat heating levels indicator
  • Front seat (Type B): From the "OFF" position, push the lever up to immediately engage "HIGH" intensity. Further toggle the lever up or down to adjust the heat level to your personal preference. Type B seat heating adjustment lever
  • Rear seat: Use the dedicated rear button to cycle through the available heating stages. Rear seat heating intensity control button

Temperature control (Automatic)

For your convenience and safety, the seat warmer in your Kia Carnival features an intelligent automatic control mode. Once manually activated, the system dynamically manages the seat temperature to maintain optimal comfort while effectively preventing the risk of low-temperature burns during extended usage.

If you prefer a different heat intensity, you may manually adjust the levers or buttons at any time. The system will prioritize your manual setting briefly, but will eventually revert to the intelligent automatic mode to ensure consistent regulation within your Kia Carnival.

  • To deactivate the heating function, press and hold the respective lever or button for more than 1.5 seconds while the system is in operation.

The heating elements inside your Kia Carnival seats are designed to cycle ON and OFF automatically based on real-time surface temperature feedback, ensuring the cabin environment remains consistently comfortable without requiring constant manual readjustment.

  • When maintaining your Kia Carnival interior, never clean the seat surfaces with organic solvents such as benzene, paint thinner, alcohol, or gasoline, as these chemicals can degrade the fabric and damage the internal heating elements.
  • To avoid overheating, refrain from placing heat-insulating items like thick blankets, cushions, or non-approved aftermarket seat covers directly onto the seats while the warmer is active.
  • Avoid placing heavy, sharp, or pointed objects on the seats, as these can physically damage the delicate internal wiring of the heating system.
  • Do not replace or modify the original seat covers, as this can severely impair the function of the integrated seat warmers and the air ventilation system.
