The Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) system in the Kia Carnival enhances your driving experience by
utilizing real-time data from the onboard navigation system. When driving on highways with Smart Cruise Control
active, the Kia Carnival can automatically adjust its speed to maintain a safer flow based on upcoming road
conditions.
NOTICE
-
The Kia Carnival Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control is available exclusively on controlled-access roads of
certain highways.
* A controlled-access road refers to a high-speed thoroughfare with limited, regulated entrances and exits to
ensure uninterrupted traffic flow, typically restricted to passenger cars and motorcycles.
-
The scope of supported highways for the Kia Carnival NSCC system may be expanded through future periodic
navigation software updates.
NOTICE
While the Kia Carnival Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control operates seamlessly on main highway stretches, it is not
designed to function within complex interchanges, highway junctions, or off-ramp transition zones.
WARNING
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC) in the Kia Carnival is a supplemental driver assistance feature and does
not replace the need for vigilant, safe driving. As the driver, you are solely responsible for maintaining
situational awareness, including monitoring your speed and the distance to the vehicle ahead at all times. Always
drive with caution.
Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown
To provide an extra layer of safety, the Kia Carnival includes a Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown function. If the
vehicle approaches a curve at a speed deemed too high for optimal stability, the system will automatically trigger a
temporary deceleration or limit acceleration based on the precise curve geometry provided by the navigation database.
